A veteran in the cage…one of Drexel’s co-captains in 2007…has quick hands...one of the hardest workers on the team…a leader both on and off the field…an outstanding ambassador of Drexel lacrosse.
2006: Played a reserve roll in goal…saw action in two games.
2005: Finished fifth in the nation with a 6.95 goals-against average…was also eighth in the country in save percentage (.597)…finished his first year as a starter with a 7-4 record…made a career-best 16 saves against Binghamton and had 15 vs. C.W. Post.
2004: Did not allow a goal in just under 15 minutes of playing time...appeared in games against Lafayette, Wagner and Towson...had three saves, including two against Towson.
Background: Attended Smithtown High School...was a four-year letterwinner, a three-year starter and the team MVP as a senior...named All-County and All-State...led the county in save percentage...played on the school’s first-ever county championship team...ran indoor track for three years...a member of the Spanish and Italian Honor Society...son of Steve and Lynne Maggio...majoring in construction management.
