2011: Capped an outstanding season by being named Second Team All-CAA…one of the top defenders in the league…was one of the reasons the Drexel defense held opponents to less than a goal a match…appeared in 14 contests and started 13…played the entire match on five occasions.
2010: Emerged as one of the team leaders and top performers on the team…started every match in her second season one of just four Dragons to do that…was a physical presence on the defensive side of the ball.
2009: Had a productive rookie season and emerged as a starter in three of the last four matches…scored three goals, including two in conference matches (James Madison and Towson)…finished second on the team in goals and fourth on the team in scoring.
Background: Attended Downingtown East High School…played four seasons of both soccer and basketball…was a member of the 2005 and 2006 Ches-Mont league championship team…a First Team All-League pick and a Southeastern Pennsylvania All-Star Team selection in 2008…her basketball team won four Ches-Mont titles and two District I championships…also played two years of lacrosse and a year of track…played for TEYSA…a member of the National Honor Society…was also a member of the Special Olympics Club and the Girls Athletic Association.
Personal: Daughter of Anne Marie and Michael Matta…one of four children…her father played football at Susquehanna and her brother played football at Moravian…a nursing major.
