Bio
2012: A Second Team All-CAA selection...started all 48 games, playing primarily at first base...led the team with a .326 batting average...tied for the team lead with eight home runs, the second-most in a single season in Drexel history...drove in 23 runs...set a Drexel single-season record with 27 bases on balls...had a .561 slugging percentage and .447 on-base percentage, both tops on the team...had two games with two home runs, wins over James Madison on Mar. 25 and Bucknell on Mar. 28...had nine multi-hit games, including three against La Salle on Apr. 10 and George Mason on Apr. 28...hit a seventh-inning three-run home run at Saint Joseph's on Apr. 12 that provided the final margin in a 7-4 win...her 15 career home runs leaves her fourth all-time, 13 back of the all-time Drexel record.
2011: Took over as the team’s starting first baseman and led the Dragons in put-outs while fielding .984 with just five errors on the season…set career highs for runs, home runs, RBIs, walks and sacrifice hits…went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs against Delaware on May 1...drove in four runs while going 2-for-4 with a home run against Coppin State at the UMBC Dawg Pound Classic.
2010: Played in all 44 of the team’s games and made 37 starts…ranked second on the team with 15 walks on the season…her first career hit was a home run, against Wisconsin on Feb. 26…three of her first four hits were home runs…hit a grand slam homer in Drexel’s win over NCAA-qualifier Iona on March 25…drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out RBI double in the top of the seventh inning in Drexel’s series-clinching win at Delaware on April 25.
Background: An All-State selection at Kent Island High in Stevensville, Md…a three-time All-Conference selection and Offensive Player of the Year…led the conference in batting average, hits, extra-base hits and RBIs for three straight years…also earned varsity letters in volleyball and basketball…a member of the honor roll and National Honor Society…also received President’s Academic Excellence Award.
Personal: Daughter of Robert and Arlene Reading…majoring in health sciences.
