2008: Led the team and set a new Drexel single-season record with seven home runs…recorded 100th career hit on May 3 at Georgia State…moved into second place all-time at Drexel with 12 career home runs and fifth in career RBIs with 64…named CAA Player of the Week on March 19…reached personal bests for runs, hits, home runs and RBIs…drove in a season-high four runs against Alabama State.
2007: Continued to improve as a hitter, elevating her batting average and totals for hits, home runs and RBIs from her freshman season…had the team’s longest hitting streak, eight games, early in the season…hit a walk-off two-run single to beat Delaware on March 25…finished third on the team in RBIs.
2006: Led team in sacrifice flies…posted the second best fielding percentage…tied for third in extra-base hits…named CAA Rookie of the Week on April 24…drove in the game-winning run in a sweep of La Salle on April 25.
Background: Played shortstop for four years at Hatboro-Horsham…also played field hockey and basketball…named to All-League First Team at designated hitter as a freshman…Second Team All-League at third base as a sophomore…twice named to All-League First Team as a shortstop…served as team captain senior year and named team MVP…All-Intelligencer shortstop as a senior.
Personal: Daughter of Bill and Paula Wambold…her cousin, Lisa, was an All-CAA softball standout at Hofstra and an assistant coach with Drexel this season…majoring in education.
