Background: A four-year letterwinner at State College Area H.S....decorated with the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award as a senior...also won the PIAA District VI Leadership Award and the team MVP that season while being named to the Mid-Penn First Team All-Star Team as a midfielder...nominated three times for the Centre Daily Times Most Inspiring Athlete award, and was a finalist as a senior in 2016...twice (2015-16) a U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American...was a Mid-Penn First Team All-Star as an attack in 2015, and a Second Teamer in 2014...named the team's Offensive MVP in 2015...nominated for and participated in the State College Leadership Institute as a sophomore in 2014.
Personal: Daughter of Diane and Andrew Friberg...has an aunt (Karen) and uncle (Eric) who played collegiate athletics at Rutgers and Penn State, respectively...intends to major in nursing.
