Drexel Women’s Lacrosse Visits Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday

Philadelphia - The Drexel women's lacrosse enters this week with a 1-0 record after topping George Washington, 14-9, on Saturday. Drexel visits two city rivals, Saint Joseph's and Penn, before its six-game homestead.
Drexel is 9-6 all-time against Saint Joseph's. Last season, Drexel's Whitney Johnson made 11 saves and held Saint Joseph's scoreless in the first half as the Dragons defeated the Hawks, 8-2. After more than 44 minutes of shutout defense from Drexel, Jen Peters finally beat Johnson to put the Hawks on the board. Saint Joseph's outshot Drexel, 27-14, for the game but were 0-for-8 on free-position shots with the majority turned away by the Dragons' goalies.
