Women’s Lacrosse Hosts California on Wednesday

Philadelphia - Drexel women's lacrosse hosts California in its fourth straight home contests on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Vidas Field. Drexel enters the weekend 5-1 after defeating La Salle last weekend, 18-4. This marks the first all-time matchup between the Drexel Dragons and the California Golden Bears.
Drexel's Kelli Joran recorded a new career-high with four goals in the win against city-rival La Salle on Sunday. The sophomore standout now has 10 goals and two assists. Starting goalkeeper Whitney Johnson has 31 saves, while freshman Amanda Santandrea made 12 stops for the Dragons.
California dropped 5-4 on the season after a 16-4 loss against Ohio State. Junior attacker Tara Arolla leads the Explorers with 22 goals, while teammate Megan Takacs leads the team with eight assists.
