Harris' Seven Goals Leads Drexel to 20-8 Victory over Towson

TOWSON, MD – After finding themselves at an early deficit, the No. 14 Drexel women's lacrosse team answered back with two 10 goals halves to soar past No. 15 Towson, 20-8. The Dragons performance marks their fifth straight victory, putting them 10-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
OVERVIEW
* Towson struck first with a goal only 1:50 into the game after catching an offensive rebound off the Dragons goal post.
* Quick ball movement in the Tiger zone allowed Corinne Bednarik to sneak by for Drexel's first goal of the afternoon, tying the game at one. The Dragons continued to apply pressure forcing a free position opportunity for Karson Harris. Harris then fired one into the top right corner to give Drexel their first lead of the day.
* After marking her name in the record books against Navy, Colleen Grady built on her scoring run, tallying her first goal against Tigers. Grady's goal was the Dragons second free position goal. Jamie Schneidereith followed in her footsteps shortly after forcing goal number four less than a minute later.
* Drexel shot a perfect four for four in the first ten minutes, seeing scores on all four shots on goal.
* Cara Moreau backed her way into the circle for the Dragons fifth goal of the day with a little less than 15 minutes to play in the first. Drexel's offense continued to find ways to produce opportunities as all five goals came from five different athletes.
* Grady took advantage of the Tigers man down setup, bouncing in her second goal, breaking open the game 6-1. The senior quickly made it back-to-back goals with a netter at the 10:40 mark, completing her second consecutive hat trick performance.
* The senior attack went on to score two more for an impressive five goal first half.
* Harris added a final goal before the buzzer for good measure, giving the Dragons a 10-2 lead heading into the second half.
* Towson opened the second half with five consecutive goals to cut the deficit to three.
* Courtney Dietzel broke the Tigers hot streak with her first goal of the day. Dietzel opened the door for Drexel to pull the momentum back, providing Harris the opportunity to fire one into the zone for a hat trick. Harris then took matters into her own hands, sinking her fourth on an assist from Bednarik.
* Lucy Schneidereith joined the scoring trend with her first of the day, opening the Dragons lead to seven. Schneidereith was the seventh player to record a score for Drexel.
* Schneidereith and Bednarik continued to rebuild the Dragons lead, each capturing their second goals of the afternoon within seconds of one another.
* Harris went on to net three more goals alongside two from Bednarik, securing Drexel a dominant 20-8 win over the Tigers.

* Grady trailed just behind her with five goals which ties her season high record that she set against Loyola Maryland on March 14.
* The Dragons 20 goals just missed their season high 21 set against Georgetown back in February.
