Drexel Falls to Northeastern, 1-0

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel soccer team (3-7-4) fell to Northeastern Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia, 1-0. The win gave the Huskies (1-8-6) their first win of the season.
The only goal came in the 40th minute of the match. Faith Rosenblatt downed the ball from beside the Drexel bench to Jessie Hunt who sat just in front of the box. Hunt avoided the Dragon defense and buried the tally with the left foot above the diving Joella Chase in the upper left corner of the net.
Maggie Hall had a career-high three shots, as Elise Duffy also picked up three. Madison Maxwell played the full 90 minutes and earned her third shot on goal this season. Chase collected three saves in the defeat.
The Dragons begin a two-game road trip as they take on William & Mary on Thursday, October 17 in Williamsburg, Va. Action is set for 7 p.m.
