PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's soccer team was slighted by the UNCW Seawhawks in the semifinals of the 2024 CAA Championships on Sunday afternoon at Vidas Field, 2-0.

Both teams played a very defensive match, only taking three shots in the first half. While Drexel held the slight advantage, not of those shots were on target. In the second half, both teams took seven shots. UNCW placed four on target, while Drexel managed to just shoot one on target.

UNCW scored its first goal in the 76^th minute after a shot by Bryan Miralrio deflected to Osei Gyamfi. The Seahawk forward buried the shot and gave UNCW the lead with around 14 minutes remaining.

Less than five minutes later, Cesare D'Amico beat the Drexel defense and found himself 1-on-1 with Alessandro Capogna, the Drexel keeper. D'Amico beat Capogna and gave the Seahawks the 2-0 lead.

Drexel ends the season with a 9-6-2 record and a 5-2-1 record in the conference.
