
Chelsea Gravereaux Wins CAA Championship Most Outstanding Swimmer Award With Three Gold Medal Performance

HAMPTON, Va. – Chelsea Gravereaux closed out the CAA Championships with another gold medal, winning the 100 free as the Drexel women's swimming and diving team completed the final night of competition on Saturday night at Hampton University. The graduate student collected three gold medals and a bronze on her way to being named the fourth most outstanding women's performer in Drexel history at the CAA Championships.
Federica Nocera started the night off for the Dragons with some hardware in the 200 back. The junior advanced to the A Final, finishing with a bronze medal. Nocera hit the wall with a time of 1:57.66, just .11 behind second position after making a late charge.
Gravereaux had another outstanding performance on the final night in the 100 free. The Emmaus, Pa. native won her prelim, setting a program record with a time of 48.67. She was able to top her time in the finals, touching the wall 1.3 seconds ahead of the field with a time of 48.52 to take home the gold for the Dragons.
Megan Ehrnfeldt rounded the championship out for the Dragons, reaching the A Final to finish eighth in the 200 fly with a time of 2:06.58.
DU finished the 2024 championship in sixth place with 604 points. The Dragons captured five medals, including three golds and two bronze finishes. UNCW captured the championship after earning 1409 points.
