Drexel Welcomes Campbell for the First Time to Vidas

PHILADELPHIA - Drexel women's lacrosse continues its homestand at Vidas Field on Friday, March 22 as the Dragons take on Campbell. This will be the first time DU will face off against the Camels in program history. Opening draw on Pride Night is set for 6 p.m.
ABOUT THE DRAGONS
The Dragons improved to 5-3 after handling the Delaware Blue Hens to earn its first CAA conference win on Saturday afternoon, 13-5.
Molly Weygand and Corinne Bednarik both racked up hat tricks against UD, with seven total Dragons picking up tallies. Bednarik now has six hat tricks so far this season. Alex Wall and Alli VanSlyke also secured four ground balls each.
Jenika Cuocco earned CAA Defensive Player of the week for the second time in three weeks. The South Beach, N.Y. native stopped 13 shots and finished with .722 save percentage, allowing just five goals. Cuocco has been a force in front of the cage with 93 saves on the year, which is fifth in NCAA.
Drexel has two major victories over ranked opponents on the year. DU knocked off No. 18 Navy and No. 25 Penn State to earn national recognition.
LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT
The Camels are 3-5 and 0-1 this season with wins over Radford, San Diego State and Manhattan. Campbell faced-off against No. 25 Richmond in their opening game in a very competitive game, taking the loss 14-11.
Jolsin Hanbury is the leading point scorer for the team. The redshirt-senior has 29 points with 20 goals scored. McKenna Duncan is right behind her with 26 points and 21 tallies.
Campbell is looking to make an impact in their first season in the CAA. The Camels finished the regular season 7-2 in the Big South, eventually falling to Mercer in the conference championship.
