Dragons Fall in Shutout Fashion Against Northeastern

Boston - Northeastern (6-6-0, 5-1-0 CAA) continued its streak of shutout matches by beating the Dragons 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon. Drexel (5-7-1, 1-4-1 CAA) came up short of its second CAA win of the season and allowed four goals in a conference match for the third time this year. Rookie keeper Tres Heffron matched his season high with seven saves in his fourth start of the season.
The Huskies' Mike Kennedy scored the final goal of the match and assisted on the first two. Andre Ciliotta scored one and assisted on another. Northeastern outshot Drexel 21-13 in the contest and outcornered the Dragons 10-2 in a dominant performance.
Northeastern keeper Scott Partridge made three saves for his third consecutive shutout and fifth win in six CAA matches. Redshirt freshman Tim Washam relieved Heffron between the pipes in the final 11 minutes. He saved two shots and allowed the fourth and final goal of the match.
The Dragons are back in action this weekend when they host James Madison at 4:00 p.m. at Vidas Field.
