The Dragons won three bouts over the Cardinal (4-1).
Jackson DiSario opened the dual with an 8-2 decision over Antonio Mininno at 125 pounds. Olson then knotted the match score with a 4-1 decision against Brandon Kier in the 133-pound bout.
No. 11-ranked 141-pounder Real Woods put Stanford on top for good with a first-period pin of Julian Flores. No. 16 Reguir van der Merwe then added a 16-5 major decision over Jared Donahue at 149 pounds.
At 157 pounds, Tyler Eischens notched a 9-2 decision over Felix Belga.
In the lone bout between ranked foes, No. 6 Shane Griffin topped No. 17 Ebed Jarrell by 8-2 decision at 165 pounds.
Drexel won two of the last four weight classes. No. 31 Michael O'Malley stopped Stanford's run by winning big at 174 pounds. Leading 2-1 after the first period, he scored 14 unanswered in the final two periods for a 16-1 technical fall against Jared Hill.
Anthony Walters dropped a 9-5 decision to Nick Addison at 184 pounds. No. 5 Nathan Traxler added a 12-4 major decision against Bryan McLaughlin at 197 pounds.
Sean O'Malley ended the dual on a high note with a 2-0 decision against Trevor Rasmussen in the heavyweight bout. O'Malley broke a scoreless tie with an escape in the second period then rode out Rasmussen in the third.
Drexel 25, Cal Poly 21
The Dragons won five of the first seven bouts and led by as many as 16 to hand the Mustangs (2-1) their first dual loss of the season. Drexel racked up bonus points in four of its five victories, and consecutive pins from Jarrell and Michael O'Malley proved decisive as the Dragons held off a late-surging Cal Poly.
Riding time made the difference at 125 pounds, where Mininno topped Benny Martinez. Mininno trailed 4-3 in the third period but went ahead 5-4 on a takedown. Martinez eventually escaped, but Mininno's advantage in riding time gave the sophomore a 6-5 decision win.
Olson picked up his eighth win of the year with a 10-2 major decision over Trae Vasquez at 133 pounds. Olson led the bout, 5-0, after two periods before scoring a pair of takedowns and reaping the ride time point for the bonus-point victory.
Drexel's lead ballooned to 13-0 after Jake Ryan injury defaulted at 141 pounds. Tyler Williams led Ryan, 3-2, when the match ended early in the first period.
Cal Poly won the next two bouts to pull close at 13-9. Donahue dropped an 18-2 technical fall against Joshua Cortez at 149. Brawler Lamer then scored a 13-2 major decision against Belga at 157 pounds.
The Dragons won their final two bouts of the dual at 165 and 174. Just like Saturday's dual against Long Island University, Jarrell and Michael O'Malley combined for consecutive pins for a decisive 12 points.
Jarrell stuck Truax late in the second period for his 18th-career fall. The redshirt-senior now sits in a tie with Dave Piede (1981-84) for the 12th-most pins in program history.
O'Malley collected his third pin of the season, ending the 174-pound bout with only seven seconds remaining in the first period. O'Malley was well on his way to victory, leading Nathan Tausch by a 10-0 margin when the fall happened. Of his six victories this season, three have come via fall.
The Mustangs attempted to mount a comeback with wins in the last three bouts. Trent Tracy topped Walters at 184 pounds with a 9-5 decision. McLaughlin fell to No. 7 Thomas Lane via 5-0 decision at 197 pounds.
Sam Aguilar won by injury default in the heavyweight bout.
Drexel concludes its California swing at California Baptist at 10 p.m. ET on Friday.
